Biography

As part of Canada’s standard-setting team, Lisa reviews and evaluates international developments in sustainability disclosure standards. Previously, she served as Chief Technical Officer at the Value Reporting Foundation and one of its pre-merger entities, the International Integrated Reporting Council. Over the course of a decade, Lisa contributed to the development of the International Integrated Reporting Framework (2013) and oversaw its 2021 revision and preparation of accompanying implementation guidance. In this capacity, she also supported the International Accounting Standards Board as a member of its Management Commentary Consultative Group and the International Sustainability Standards Board as a member of the IFRS Foundation’s Technical Readiness Working Group. Her earlier role as Technical Director of the Global Reporting Initiative rounds out her standard-setting and framework development background.

Formerly, Lisa was Principal, Research, Guidance & Support at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Her experience in the for-profit sector includes work as a financial analyst at Ford Motor Company of Canada and Ford Credit Canada, application engineer at Metso Minerals and research chemist at 3M Canada.

Notable achievements include appearances before the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Investor Advisory Group, White House Forum on Business Innovation and UNCTAD’s Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting. Lisa has also engaged in collaborative projects with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, United Nations Global Compact and Principles for Responsible Investment.
