Anne-Marie is a risk management and responsible investing professional as well as an emerging market specialist with over 14 years experience in the financial services industry. She joined the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) in 2013 and is an Associate Manager, ESG in Public Markets. BCI is an investment manager with over $145 billion Canadian dollars in asset under management and primarily serves the BC public sector pension funds. Covering the public equities and fixed income asset classes, her responsibilities include ESG analysis and integration; proxy voting; public policy submissions; direct and collaborative engagement with companies on ESG risks; and reporting on responsible investing activities. She previously worked at Export Development Canada (EDC), a federal crown corporation and Canada's export credit agency.
She ended her tenure at EDC as the Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East. Anne-Marie has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a graduate degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa. She wrote her masters degree thesis on the responsible investing practices of Canadian pension fund managers. She is certified as a Leading Professional in Ethics and Compliance. She travelled, lived, studied or worked in more than 35 countries.
