Jim McMullan oversees the Corporate Credit team, investing in public and private debt transactions of Investment Grade and High Yield issuers. He manages a team of investment professionals based in Montréal, New York and London. He is a voting member of several investment committees, including the Corporate Credit, Specialty Finance and Canadian Equity Markets committees, and sits on the Fixed Income Management Committee. He is also a member of CDPQ’s Research and Responsible Investing committees.
Jim started his career in 1988 at the Bank of Nova Scotia in commercial credit. He joined CDPQ in 1998 as Senior Director, Investments, as part of the Corporate Debt team in the Private Equity group. In March 2006, he was appointed Vice-President, Investments, responsible for managing the new Infrastructure Debt portfolio. In September 2008, he became co-head of the Corporate Debt portfolio.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Economics from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University. He also holds the CFA designation.
