Biography

Linda Coady Co-Chaired the Generation Energy Council established by the Government of Canada in 2017-2018 to develop a shared narrative on Canada’s transition to an energy future that is clean, inclusive, affordable and secure. The Council’s recommendations reflected input from a national dialogue on energy systems in Canada a generation from now in which 380,000 Canadians participated.

Linda Coady was Chief Sustainability Officer for Enbridge Inc. (2013-2019), one of North America’s largest energy infrastructure companies. Prior to joining Enbridge she served as Vice-President of Sustainability for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, Vice President for World Wildlife Fund Canada, Vice President of Environmental Affairs for Weyerhaeuser Canada, and as a Distinguished Fellow at the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the University of British Columbia.
